DOUG ANDERSON Doug joined Benchmark in 2004, following seven years of consulting and ten years as a corporate executive in the media and beverage industries. He has advised numerous private and public sector organizations on organization design and process improvement, performance management and human resource strategy. In addition to his client service work at Benchmark, he serves as the firm's president. Doug enjoys building the capability of people and organizations and seeing them grow. He finds challenge and engagement in all organization settings and sizes and has been particularly effective working with entrepreneurial companies and privately held owner-managed companies and professional services firms. Doug holds an M.B.A. from York University (now Schulich School of Business) and a B.A. from the University of Guelph. Throughout his career his strong interest in leadership development and business education has been applied to teaching roles in organization behaviour, leadership and entrepreneurship. Doug is passionate about his family, his friends and horses. He subscribes to the saying that "there's nothing so good for the inside of a man as the outside of a horse." He rides and jumps regularly on his homebred thoroughbred mare and for over ten years has partnered with some friends in horse racing. |
